Friends plays an important role in a person's life. Having good friends who love and support you for who you are is really important to our happiness. A friend is someone who is difficult to find. A friend is someone you can always count on when times are tough. And I am lucky to have them because they are the one who can make me laugh when I don’t want to. Good friends should not be measured only based on the time you spent together. Friendship is considered to be a true blessing for everyone, and I am really blessed.

My Family

Family is everything. It is a gift that last forever where my life begins and love never ends.

Our family is not perfect. We argue, we fight, we even stop talking to each other but in the end, family is family. The love will always be there. And that love is a life's greatest blessing. That love is strong and deep, giving us more memories to treasure and keep.

I can not imagine living my life without my family especially my parents. They always guide me, accept me for who I am, and they are the one who would do anything just to see me smile and love me no matter what.

In this world full of doubt, insecurity and fear, they are the people who I can trust and who I can count on. My family are always there for me, holding their arms open to me with love.

Without them, I would have not been what I am today. There is nothing so safe and comforting, as my family. I love them so much and I am really blessed to have them.

"All About Me"

"This is who I am. Nobody said you had to like it."

Hello there! I have to say something about myself. It is hard for me to introduce myself because I know myself so well that I do not know where to start with. Let me give a try to see what kind of image you have about me through my self-description. I hope that my impression about myself and your impression about me are not so different. So, here it goes.

My name is Angelica Flora Benosa. You can call me Jeca. I was born on April 08, 2001 at Calamba Doctors National Highway, Parian, Calamba, Laguna. I am 16 years old now.

Currently living at # 084, Purok 2, Brgy. Butong, City of Cabuyao, Laguna. We've been staying here for almost 22 years. I am the youngest child out of four (4). I have two (2) sisters and one (1) brother.

I graduated at Butong Elementary School and finished my Junior High at Bigaa Integrated National High school. I am currently studying at STI College of Sta. Rosa as a Senior High school student, taking up the strand of Accountancy, Business and Management. I want to be a Certified Public Accountant someday, that's why I take this course.

My hobby is surfing the internet. I also love playing badminton. I like playing music when I do not want to talk to anyone. I am the person who always there to listen and help to those in need. But I'm one of those people who you'll hate first until you have an actual conversation with me.

In addition, I love those people who can make me laugh when I do not want to. I also love those people who can appreciate an effort no matter how small it is. In contrary, I hate those people who do not have a one word. I mean, they give you hope, they promise you something and after those talks, they will leave you like there's nothing happening. I also hate the moment when my anger turns into tears. Because I hate crying in front of people, it makes me feel weak.

And that's it. I know who I am and your judgment opinion does not matter. This is my life, my story not yours.

My Philosopher

"The Subjection of Women" by John Stuart Mill

Philosophy means love of wisdom. It involves asking ourselves why we think in particular ways about issues and also wondering about the issues themselves. On the other hand, philosophizing involves our very selves and our points of view. Whenever we philosophize, we are trying to understand our selves personally. There are various ways of categorizing philosophical subdisciplines and areas. Contemporary Philosophy is one of this. It is the period referring to the present mode and systems of philosophizing. John Stuart Mill was one of the Philosopher in this period and made a book entitled "The Subjection of Women" that talks about the female equality.
On the 20 th day of May 1806, John Stuart Mill was born. He was an English Philosopher, Political Economist and a Civil Servant. Mill was raised with an advanced education and was translating Greek before he was even in his teens. Jeremy Bentham, his teacher and mentor influence on his philosophy but he was able to minimize most of the major flaws in Bentham's version of Utilitarianism to allow it to hold the status that it currently does today. The relation between Mill's political theories and his moral theories find to be problematic but they both led him to be an advocator for women's rights, gay rights and animal rights at a time when both stances were thought by the majority to be insane.Mill can be seen as one of the most successful philosophers and implementing social change through his philosophy in terms of making an impact in society . After the industrial revolution that causes huge gaps between the rich and the poor, rampant child labor and horrible death conditions, he was able to inspire a number of social reforms in England during his lifetime. None of Mill's major writings remain independent of his moral, political, and social agenda. A System of Logic, Principles of Political Economy, On Liberty, Utilitarianism, The Subjection of Women, Three Essays on Religion, and his Autobiography are among his most well-known significant.
In John Stuart Mill's 1869 book, 'The Subjection of Women', he argues for female equality in a Victorian society that denied women many social and political rights. His language is very accurate and his logic is so penetrating that it brooks no opposition. He was the first male philosopher to argue in a very loud or forceful way for the disenthrall of women in Victorian society and for the recognition of their personal, legal and political rights, including the right to work outside the domestic sphere, the right to higher education and the right to vote.
According to Mill, by which he means Victorian culture or society, insists that a woman's primary duty is to please and serve others and to put her own desires on hold. That means women were expected and taught to attract a suitable husband, and, once married, to stay home, raise the children, submit to her husband, and attend to household affairs. This concept of female gender roles was also referred to as the cult of domesticity. Mill rejected all of this and argued that such custom kept women from reaching their full potential. He also argued that women should be granted more political and legal rights, as well as given more social and economic opportunities. In the Victorian society, women had to rely on their husbands for everything.Mill argued that this reliance of a wife on a husband created a type of slavery. Just as a slave is fearful of displeasing his master because the master is the only way the slave gets fed and clothed, a wife is also afraidful of displeasing her husband because her husband is her only means of food, shelter, and social status. According to him, "Marriage is the only form of slavery permitted by law." This unequal relationship between husband and wife can not possibly make for a truly open, supportive, and affectionate marriage and home life. Therefore, Mill argued that marriages and families would actually be healthier if women were better educated and socially empowered. Slaves had already been freed from bondage by this time, why not women, too?shelter, and social status. According to him, "Marriage is the only form of slavery permitted by law." Therefore, I conclude that Mill's contention is that we can not know that something will not work unless we try it. This philosophy is all about having an equality between man and woman. All human beings, both men and women, are free to develop their personal abilities and make choices without the limitations set by prejudices. It means that the different behavior, aspirations and needs of women and men are considered, valued and favored equally. It does not mean that women and men have to be the same, but that their rights, responsibilities and opportunities will not depend on whether they are born male or female. It simply means fairness of treatment for women and men, according to their respective needs.
